Day 1-Leave Kumasi through Mampong and Ejura to the Buabeng Fiema Monkey Sanctuary where monkeys live with people in the same village. We will purchase bananas and groundnuts on the way so you will get the rare opportunity to interact with these remarkable creatures.
From the monkey village, you will continue to the Kintampo waterfalls. You’ll get the opportunity to take a dip in the cool, refreshing water if you like as there will be plenty of time to swim before the journey continues to the Mole Game Reserve. (overnight Mole Park)
Day 2-We’ll begin the day with an early safari hike through the amazing Mole Game Reserve, home to over 93 mammal species, including elephants, hippos, warthogs, and buffalo. Considered a primary African preserve for antelope species, this reserve is the country’s largest and most prestigious protected area, and you will have the privilege of trekking through this marvelous place to observe animals in their natural habitat.
On this day, we’ll also visit the Larbanga Mosque, the oldest mosque in Ghana, and the Larbanga Mystic Stone, a stone that mystically appeared back in its place no matter how many times it was moved.
Day 3-Travel back to Kumasi stopping en route at the Black and White Power Shrine to see a traditional performance by the high priest Nana Abass. Join in the dance and dance until your feet get tired with the high priest Abass.
